Position Summary


Designs, develops, maintains and supports browser interfaces and automated processes in .Net.   Evaluates user requests for more automation and/or upgrading of more complex business systems. The position requires an individual well versed in SQL, ASP, C#, VB and their .NET Equivalents.


Primary Position Responsibilities
  • Designs system and defines problems by establishing output requirements and preparing proper documentation in professional format.
  • Assists users in determining specific system requirements and devises means of achieving desired end results.
  • Understands and complies with Software Development Life Cycle Methodology including design, specifications, testing and release management.
  • Codes, tests, debugs and modifies new and existing applications.
  • Determines the impact of proposed projects on current work load by establishing schedules for analysis, programming, and project completion/implementation.
  • Performs technical reviews of operating systems to identify, analyze, and correct system problems.
  • Develops or revises programs to analyze program effectiveness, using appropriate machine language(s).
  • Designs, implements and maintains data communications, security and privacy measures for assigned programs or systems.Maintains data integrity and security protocols of all systems.
  • Designs, updates, creates, and produces both scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
  • Performs other duties and activities as directed or required by supervisor/management.


Experience Required
  • 5+ years experience in web development including .NET and ASP
  • 5+ years experience in application development
  • 5+ years experience in web services development


Skills and Abilities Required
  • Solid experience with web-based scripting languages such as: VBScript, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET (3.5 Framework and above), Web Services development (SOAP/REST/API), DHTML (JavaScript, CSS & HTML), and MS Enterprise Library.
  • Principles and techniques of applications programming and system analysis applicable to area of assignment, to include data communications, database design, associated modules and sub-routines
  • Understands web security protocols.
  • Experience in data access technologies and patterns.
  • Good organizational, problem solving and verbal/written communication skills
  • Administration of Microsoft IIS web server.
  • Understands database driven sites and functionality.
