The Senior Systems Administrator role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Experience

·        Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products

·        Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices

·        Extensive experience with server hardware setup, configuration, support, and maintenance (HP)

·        Extensive experience with MS Windows Server design, configuration and administration (2008-2016)

·        Extensive experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting IIS

·        Extensive experience with Active Directory (e.g. Group Policy, Users/Groups, OU, Permissions)

·        Extensive experience implementing and supporting virtual environments, particularly VMware (6.x) and Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop

·        Expert level knowledge of Forest Domain management and Certificate Authority

·        Experience using high availability clustering and load balancing

·        Experience with MS SQL Server (e.g. backups, restores, configuration, and permissions)

·        Experience with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation software and procedures

·        Experience with NAS/DAS/SAN Storage Technologies  (NetApp, HP 3PAR)

·        Experience with IP Addressing and Subnetting, VLANs, VPN tunnels, DNS, and DHCP

·        Experience with system and application monitoring using an enterprise monitoring system (SolarWinds)



·        MS Exchange experience a plus (Exchange 2010/2016)
