Job Summary: 





General graphic design experience (knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications), familiarity with desktop publishing and best practices for print and electronic publishing, knowledge of color management for print and web, experience providing customer service/technical support.





Project Overview: 





Publishing Technical Support (PTS) supports our client's Publications & Dissemination Department by providing expertise in publishing best practices, guidance on graphic design; troubleshoots graphic and publishing software issues; supports preflight/prepress processes; assures Section 508 compliance for publishing products; develops publishing templates for MS Word; Adobe InDesign and Adobe FrameMaker; develops software automation solutions supporting the publication process; creates CD/multi-media versions of products; provides guidance on optimizing PC platforms and software for all publishing tasks, provides related help desk support to all staff.





Daily Responsibilities:





•           Multi-tasking between assignments.

•           ~75% of time spent providing support to publishing process in form of help desk and service calls. About half our current workload deals with 508 remediation of GAO reports.

•           Help desk calls: Monitor and complete routine service calls in Adobe Creative Cloud apps, MS Office apps and support the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver & Acrobat in the publishing process.

 

Operating System: Windows 7/10

•           Hardware: PC

•           Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications

•           Languages: HTML

•           Other: General graphic design experience, familiarity with desktop publishing and best practices for print and electronic publishing, knowledge of color management for print and web, experience providing customer service/technical support, basic knowledge of HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver.

•           Candidate must be a US citizen
