Development Associate II 


  • Development Associate  is required for a  contract  position in  Cambridge, MA
  • Softworld’ s Client is seeking an experienced and talented professional to join the department of Analytical & Pharmaceutical Sciences (APS) for a period of six months. The Development Associate II will work with other internal developmental functional groups and will perform analytical testing of developmental samples of therapeutic antibodies and antibody drug conjugates to help the advancements of various developmental projects.

 

Responsibilities:

·          Perform sample analysis and process the analytical data

·          Prepare solutions needed in the lab (e.g. mobile phases, formulation buffer blanks, etc.)

·          Use UV spectroscopy for concentration measurements

·          Use HPLC and/or UPLC for analyzing size and charge variants of antibodies and ADCs

·          Contribute to the analytical and formulation development work within the APS department by testing process characterization and formulation development samples

·          Record the experiments in laboratory electronic notebook

·          Provide analytical results according to the timelines

 

Required Skills:
  • Basic pipetting skills and ability to calculate and perform dilutions
  • Hands-on analytical experience with HPLC, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and with common laboratory equipment (e.g. analytical balance, pH meter, etc.) is expected.
  • Experience with capillary electrophoresis is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency with proven ability to execute the planned experiments

 

Required Experience & Education:

·          A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field and 2-6 years of related industrial experience is required. Alternatively, a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same fields and 1-4 years of related industrial experience is required.

 

Duration: 6 Months
