Job Description:
Oversee cross-functional technical efforts to modernize and maintain sonar transmit hardware-systems that generate the high-energy acoustic pulses at the heart of undersea detection.
Collaborate closely with U.S. Navy stakeholders, internal engineering teams, and external system integrators to ensure these advanced systems perform with precision under demanding operational conditions.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline;Master's preferred.
8+ years of relevant experience (6+ with Master's).
Proven technical leadership of cross-discipline teams in analog/power or embedded hardware domains.
Deep understanding of power electronics, analog circuits, and linear amplifier design.
Experience with electro-mechanical systems, high-voltage analog hardware, and ruggedized circuit design.
Skilled in system integration testing at various levels (unit, subassembly, full system).
Proficiency in creating and reviewing technical documentation and design packages.
Experience troubleshooting complex hardware in lab and production environments.
Working knowledge of Linux, hardware debugging tools, and lab instrumentation.
Desired:
Experience with high-speed digital design, FPGAs, and embedded processors.
Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools and mechanical packaging considerations.
Background in acoustics, sonar systems, or defense-related hardware.
Knowledge of MIL-STD compliance and DoD program practices.
