- Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Design experience
Job Description:
- Our client requires a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing components, subassemblies, and assemblies for their Aerospace product line.
- These are Mechanical and Electro-mechanical systems so will require the physical design as well as placement and packaging of electronics components.
- All Work on SolidWorks CAD tool.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Design of mechanical components using SolidWorks CAD
- Design of electromechanical assemblies using SolidWorks CAD
- Design of electronic enclosures and electronics packaging
- Generate BOM's
- Stress analysis using FEA techniques (Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation) strongly preferred.
- Configuration management in SolidWorks PDM environment
Education/Experience:
- Technical Skills and Experience:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 3-5 years of design experience minimum. 10 years preferred.
- Aerospace - Defense background preferred.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, Finite Element Analysis and Microsoft Office.
- Configuration management of engineering documentation
- Knowledge of GD&T
- PDM design environment strongly preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen or be a US Permanent Residence Card Holder
