Projected Description/Purpose of Role:

  • Advise and support work that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software.
  • Analyze and refine systems requirements.
  • Translate systems requirements into applications prototypes.
  • Plan and design systems architecture. Determine and design applications architecture. Determine output media/formats. Design user interfaces.
  • Work with customers to test applications. Assure software and systems quality and functionality.
  • Integrate hardware and software components.
  • Write and maintain program documentation.
  • Evaluate new applications software technologies.
  • Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.

  • 7+ years experience including in-depth experience in a database management, administration, or engineering role.
  • Bachelor’ s degree in a related field.
  • Must have significant experience with Oracle 12C.
  • Experience with the following tools: WebCenter, WebLogic, HTTP Server, SolarWinds, BPM Suite, EBS, OBIEE, OIAM, GRC, and OEM.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, SLA Development, Jire, Confluence, Service Desk, HipChat, and BitBucket.
  • Thorough understanding of application software, operating systems, networks, storage platforms, and how they relate to system architecture.
  • Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment.
  • Able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design following best practices and design patterns.
  • Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner. Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations.
