As Perception Architect, you will lead the design for our perception stack, including lidar, radar and computer vision efforts, and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure a high quality and robust autonomy solution is produced.

- Experience in the full perception stack including lidar, radar, and computer vision (will look at candidates who do not have all 3)
- However candididates should have 5 years of Perception experience MINIMUM
- Understanding the software principles and how to design a full perception stack within those principles.
- Ability to write software
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams ensuring high-quality solutions are delivered.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working in robotics with 5+ focused on perception
- MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related
- Exceptional C++ programming skills and more than 5 years developing robotics software in a Linux environment
- Experience applying machine learning algorithms to perception problems and executing on a GPU or FPGA
Job Duties
- Lead perception development through collaboration with other technical leaders
- Solve challenging perception problems in such a way that the team can deliver effectively
- Design, write, review and test perception algorithms
- Lead the perception team to a high standard in software development
- Work with the team to manage architecture, software and deliverables from other teams

- Experience in full SDLC
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience with Agile software development
- Strong mathematics skills
- Experience mentoring engineers
