Job Description:
- Our client requires a Project Engineer to Lead a cross-functional project team through Project Execution Process (PEP) with overall responsibility and authority for project performance throughout the project life cycle.
- This is an Automation Integrator, so the position will require experience with Industrial Automation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall leadership of the project including managing scope, change, schedule, cost, quality, open issues, risks, resources, and overall project communications.
- Builds relationships with key customer contacts and acts as primary point of communication to the customer for assigned projects.
- This will require acceptance and sharing of best practices and lessons learned, continuously improving the Project Execution Process (PEP).
- In-depth understanding of the financial details and budget of each assigned project. Proactive decision analysis capabilities: taking into consideration size, complexity, visible and unknown risks, timelines, etc.
- Coordinates and monitors project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget, production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives.
- Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to the established quality management system.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years' experience in project management. PMP highly preferred.
- Project management experience in an Automation setting
- Engineering Degree preferred. Industry knowledge/experience can substitute for education
- Experience in direct customer commercial management and cross-functional team leadership
- Moderately advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and MS Project.
