Thermal Analysis Engineer
Design of complex mechanical assemblies that may include structures, actuators, integrated electronics, etc. for use in harsh environments (high-g, shock, high temperature) and tight form factors.
Apply experience in precision part design and fabrication
Generate appropriate documentation to convey design to fabrication organizations.
This includes mechanical part and assembly drawings, circuit card assembly drawings, assembly instructions, etc.
Interface with machine shop, circuit card assembly facility, and 3D printing lab as necessary.
Select materials and appropriate finishes/treatments
Select/recommend vendors and interact with internal and external contacts to facilitate fabrication and assembly
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Min nine years experience as engineer related to electro-mechanical systems and mechanical parts
Proficiency with 3D CAD and PDM packages, specifically SolidWorks and PDMWorks
Hands-on experience building mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
Experience with machine shop tools, fabrication techniques
Familiarity with analysis tools such as ANSYS or analysis tool within SolidWorks
Current US Secret (required) or Top Secret clearance (preferred) - recent clearance acceptable if eligible for renewal
