Job Description:
  • This position will deliver on time, on budget, zero defect product to our customers.
  • The Wiring Harness Operations Manager will work closely with business development, engineering, contracts, purchasing and program management to continually improve and grow the harness business.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead manufacturing/quality portion of proposal development for new harness business opportunities in the defence sector.
  • Review drawings and technical data packages for manufacturability and provide feedback to the engineering/customer teams for improvement.
  • Deliver products on time, on budget and at zero defects as well as leading the corrective action process if a defect occurs.
  • Work with engineering, program management and purchasing to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Manage workload assignments based on resource skill set, capabilities, and business need and projecting manpower/skillset needs as the business grows.
  • Develop/optimize business practices, processes, and procedures to fulfil customer's requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain quality documentation so that all quality standards/requirements are met for annual/periodic quality audits.
  • Ensuring the safety of the employees within the manufacturing area.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience in setting up low volume manufacturing and quality processes for a defence wiring harness business.
  • Developing and optimizing work instructions.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven track record mentoring and growing a team.
  • Excellent customer relationship experience.
  • Production control and inventory management.
  • US Citizen
  • Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Ability to secure a US Security Clearance.
  • Program management experience.
  • Profit/Loss experience.
