Mechanical Design Engineer
12+ Month Contract

Active Secret Clearance Required 

About the Position:

• This position is for a mechanical design engineer.
• The selected candidate will support the Flight Test Instrumentation team working the F-35 lines of business.
• The candidate will be required to perform mechanical and harness routing design activities for the installation of flight test equipment and data system components.
• The candidate will be responsible for releasing engineering drawings, work instructions, supporting airworthiness documentation, monitoring fabrication activities, and supporting aircraft modification.

Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, preferred, STEM degree required
• 3+ years of recent CATIA V5 experience
• 3+ years of 2D/3D mechanical design experience in an aerospace environment
• Previous experience with instrumentation (flight or ground) preferred
• Previous experience with the F-35 program-specific tools and processes desired
